Beyonce at Marshall Fields 11/8/05
I went to see Beyonce today at Marshall Field's in Chicago. It was nice. I just wish I could have seen more. I got there at like 11 something this morning after my first class. Bee didn't come out until a little after 2:00. She was supposed to be there at 1:30. I took a lot of pics of the scenery and I got a few okay shots of her. She looked pretty. She on a denim House of Dereon dress. Her hair was down. I sorta meet Matthew. I was on the second floor with Matthew for like two hours and I didn't say anything to him. I just kept looking at him, like that is Matthew Knowles, Bee's father.
I just took pics of him and listened to most of his conversations. I did hear him say that Bee taped Oprah this morning and that it will air this Friday. I stayed all that time and when she finally came out I could barely see cause so many people had come. Then, I finally decided to buy the perfume even though I didn't really have the money to get it, but I bought just the bottle, which was $48. The gift set was $137. So, I get in line after going to the second, third, and fourth floors to get pics. I was in line for 10 minutes and Bee or whoever decides she has to go. It wasn't even 3:30. I was a little upset cause Bee was already late. She was supposed to be there 1:30 to 3:30pm and she came about 15 to 20 minutes after 2 and then left before 3:30. Anyways, she came through the first floor and security was tight. She walked past me with Shawty while trying to exit and that's why the last pic is only half of her. People went crazy. They ran behind Bee and all the security to the elevator until the guards stopped all them. They was knocking over stuff trying to get a pic of her. It was serious. I thought there was gonna be a damn riot or something. I was just trying to not get stampeed on. I was thinking "Ole' Lord, please don't let these people run me over. Don't nobody know I'm here, but my moms." I had just talked to her. It was serious ya'll. I got the perfume with a pre-signed sleeve signature, an autographed poster, a small tube of lotion and a handbag. I could look at the poster and perfume and tell that they had been signed by a marker and wasn't reprinted, but I still would have liked the experience of getting it personally signed.
